Rosemarie Ryan

Model Making

Rosemarie’s initial training in Product Design at Carlow Institute of Technology gave her a strong understanding of the value of good model making for marketing, engineering and display purposes. Having developed this interest at college, she completed her training at Kilkenny Design Workshops by 1987 and has since been working producing models for industry.

Rosemarie has broad experience of different types of model making, including ergonomic mock-ups, non-working models replicating appearance, to dimensionally precise representations of injection-moulded assemblies which allow evaluation of pre-production assemblies. She has also made scale models for exhibition and display purposes, and applied her finishing skills to 3D printed models to make them both attractive and convincing.

Rosemarie also has an interest in restoring and upcycling antiques, trading under the name ‘Rambling Rose Eclectic’.
